The 1995 wine vintage from Bordeaux is considered a rare gem and is widely recognized as an excellent year for both left and right banks. 

The winter and spring were mild, and crucial rain in spring helped to rebalance the water table, allowing for uninterrupted flowering. The summer was exceptionally very hot and dry, breaking records. In September, rainfall affected the Merlot harvest, prompting the early harvesting of Cabernet Sauvignon.
